A friend gave me a big bag of wine bottle corks and as I've remodeled my kitchen with a Tuscan theme, I thought they would be great for decorations. I used a 12" grapevine wreath and hot glued corks around it and added a few grapes that I found in Hobby Lobby.For the trivet, I painted a picture frame, and when dry, rubbed it lightly with steel wool to give it an aged effect. I hot glued the corks onto the wooden backing. A friend has one that has corks in an old cigar box, which works better, but they don't seem to be as plentiful as they once were.
