| Crochet spiders |
These crochet spiders are easy to make and a great treat for children on Halloween.
Crochet Needle: 3.50
(I used Red Heart super saver yarn)
Spider Body
1. Make a magic ring (see video below)
2. 6 SC (single crochet) in ring
3. Increase in each stitch (12)
4. SC in first stitch, 2 SC in next (repeat) (18)
5. SC in next two stitches, 2 SC next stitch (repeat) (24)
6-8 SC
9. SC in two stitches, decrease 2 (repeat) (18)
Stuff
10. SC, decrease 2 (repeat) (12)
11. Decrease 2 (repeat) (6)
Insert yarn through the six stitches, pull to close the circle.
Spider Legs
1. Chain 2
2. SC 8 in second chain
3. Chain 10, SC in each chain
4. Slip stitch in next chain
5. Repeat (8 legs)
I used google eyes for the crochet spider, but if you are giving the toy to a small child, use safety eyes.
