Mini Octopus Free Pattern

The mini octopus is easy to make, in fact I've used the mouse pattern as the base for this. You can change the size by using a different size needle and thicker yarn.

Mini Octopus

3.5 crochet hook

Inc: Increase

sc: single crochet

dec: decrease

hdc: Half double crochet

Body

6 sc in magic ring

Pull loose end and join

Note: Make body in round rather than joining at the end of each row

R1: Inc. in each stitch (12 stitches)

R2: Inc. 1 sc 1 (18)

R3: Inc. 1 sc 2 (24)

R4: - R7: sc

R8: dec. 1 sc 2 (18)

R9: dec 1, sc1 (12)

Stuff

R10: dec 6 times

Bind off by running yarn through any remaining stitches and pulling tight.

Tentacles

8 sc in magic ring

join

Ch 15

Sc in 2^nd ch, 2 sc in 3^rd ch.

3 hdc to last two chains then sc twice

Slip stitch in the next chain of magic ring and repeat 7 more times

Sew to the bottom of the body

I made French knots for the eyes.
